Vision, Hearing, Height, Weight, and Acanthosis Nigricans for 7th grade October 30, 31, & November 1, 2018. Please have your student bring their glasses or contacts if needed.
Health screenings are an important part of growing up and ensure students are in the best possible health to learn and grow.
Acanthosis Nigricans - 7th Grade

Seventh graders will be screened for the acanthosis nigricans marker, a skin condition that signals high insulin levels. Students who are positively identified with the marker will undergo additional assessment of body mass index (BMI) and blood pressure. Parents will be alerted of their child's risk factors and will be encouraged to undergo further medical evaluation from a health professional.
